We are (since 20th December) in Tier 4: 'Stay at home' which means that, under government guidelines, club rides have been suspended until further notice.
Under the guidelines you may only exercise outdoors in public places alone, with your household, support bubble, or one other person. This exercise is unlimited - but you must not leave the Tier 4 area, and exercise should be done locally wherever possible.
Many members are making use of the other Socially Distanced activities with the club.
British Cycling has today (17th March 2020) suspended all activities until at least the 30th April.
This is in response to the latest Government advice on COVID-19.
British Cycling strongly encourage all levels of the cycling community to do all we can to halt the spread of this virus.
In view of this the Club Committee has decided to suspend all Club activities with immediate effect until the 30th April at the earliest.
This step has been taken to help protect members, their families and the wider community.
The situation will be kept under review as it develops. The Committee urges all members to keep up to date with the latest NHS advice as it becomes available.
