At iCycle we want to project the right image and a major part of that image is our Club Kit.
Exclusively designed by Rick Hollingsworth we have been working in partnership with DECCA, a well known
Belgian manufacturer, to produce stylish top quality cycling garments for both leisure and competitive cycling at competitive prices. Have a look at the design illustrations and the photographs, on the iCycle web site and I am sure you will agree.

Orders for Club Kit are placed with the manufacturer periodically.  The Club Kit Shop will be opened for at least two weeks prior to the order being placed with the manufacturer.

You can pay by cheque, bank transfer or cash. To do this, go to the Club Kit Shop and download, print and fill the paper order form and forward, with payment to out Club Kit Coordinator Vic Way. The link for the order form (pdf) is at the top of the Club Kit Shop page. Please make cheques to iCycle.

You can pay by PayPal, credit card or debit card. To do this, go to the Club Kit Shop and add your items to the cart, and then click Checkout and you will be forwarded to the PayPal website, where you can either pay using your PayPal account (if you have one) or with credit card or debit card (via PayPal) even if you don't have a PayPal account. You will not be charged any additional fee for using this payment method. Don't forget to select your size (S,M,L,XL,XXL) for each item from the dropdown menu.

If you want your order to be mailed to your home when it arrives from the manufacturer, add the £5 postage and packing fee item to your cart. Otherwise, you will need to collect from Vic personally.

Please note that members competing for iCycle in BC and CTT events are required to wear iCycle club kit or a plain kit which cannot be construed as belonging to another club. Any such competitor who rides in an alternative clubs kit whilst registered as riding for iCycle will subject themselves and iCycle to disciplinary measures and will lead to all iCycle members competing in the event to be disqualified.

Cycle challenges at iCycle. Sportives, audaxes, col climbs and etapes.

Have you ever fancied the challenge of riding the routes of your cycling heroes, the Ventoux, the Marmotte, the Tour De France Etape, the Hell of the North, Paris-Roubaix or closer to home; the challenge of the Etape Caledonia or the Beast of Exmoor. All of these challenging rides involves either considerable distance, or considerable climbing, or both, sometimes in extreme conditions.  Such challenging rides can either be officially timed and recorded through organised bodies or done unofficially with friends or colleagues at the rider's own discretion - lets face it, just completing the distance/climb is challenge enough.

Whatever your challenge, iCycle will help you to achieve your goals through its training, support and advice.

iCycle target specific sportives, etapes and audaxes throughout the year, and these are shown on the Calendar of Events. Sometimes this involves organised iCycle trips and sometimes a group of individual members will get together through the iCycle Hub to arrange their own participation in such challenges.

iCycle are also staging our own event for 2012 by once again organising the iCycle R101 audax uk challenge to be scheduled for a date in September.

At iCycle we have considerable knowledge and experience in respect of competition, fitness, health, nutrition, cycle technique, equipment and maintenance, including qualified life coach mentors.

At iCycle we are happy to share that knowledge and experience with you; from providing informal general advice to comprehensive one-to-one structured support. From how best to purchase the ideal bike for your needs and finance, to how to keep it on the road in pristine condition.

We also offer access to numerous approved services and discounted suppliers through the Hub to ensure that you can get the best deal and service available.

Occasionally at iCycle we invite subject specialists to deliver lectures or tutorials on specific subjects; cycle maintenance, nutrition and aerodynamics are but a few.

Social Rides and events at iCycle, for connecting with others and sharing experiences.

Fun rides are not fast, not competitive and not particularly exerting but they are enjoyable.

The Sunday Club Ride at iCycle is an opportunity to do a medium distance, medium paced ride amongst the support of other cyclists of similar fitness as well as experienced and knowledgeable cyclists. Nobody gets left behind.

Enjoy the company of others on quiet and interesting routes and keep fit at the same time.

iCycle also organise regular get-together events which may range from a weekend away cycling on interesting routes throughout the UK, to a short local ride at a leisurely pace followed by a drink or two, or lunch, in a local country pub or cafe.

We also organise regular social events throughout the year which usually take place at the Clubhouse (Bedford Rowing Club).

Cycle specific training at iCycle, for fitness, core strength and technique.

Starting in October, and running throughout the winter, iCycle provides weekly cycle specific spinning classes at Fitness First, Aspects Leisure Park , Bedford. 

Unlike standard spinning classes, our classes are cycle-specific and cater for all levels of ability. They are designed to improve fitness, core strength and cycling techniques with like minded members within a progressive and controlled environment, allowing you to continue your training whatever the weather. They are also designed to give you a better understanding of how each of the session contributes to improving your ability as a cyclist. Finish off each training session by testing your increasing fitness by enjoying our static ten minute time trial test. As Greg Lemond said, "It never gets easier, you just go faster".

After each spinning session, you can warm down with a gentle swim in the swimming pool, or if you are a triathlete, you can also get on the treadmill.  Full use of LA Fitness fully equipped gym is included in the spinning session fee.

(Please note that there is a nominal additional charge for this training to cover the cost of hiring the gymnasium and the spin bike equipment).

Also throughout the winter, weather permitting, all iCycle members join together (Sunday Club riders, time triallists and road racers) to turn the legs on a ride throughout Bedfordshire's quiet country lanes, every Saturday and Sunday morning.
