With daylight hours getting longer I am pleased to announce that the 2022 Thursday Evening Summer Rides will start on 19 May. This year, to ensure more members have the opportunity to take part, an additional pub is being included in the schedule.
The first ride will start at the Prince of Wales Bromham at 18:30 on 19 May. On 26 May the ride will be based at The Kings Arms, Cardington and on 2 June it will be the turn of the recently refurbished Pheasant, Kimbolton Road. The rides will continue in this order, with one exception, until the end of August.
Full details of each ride will be published in the usual way on the club website and via WhatsApp. There will be a ride leader in attendance, primarily to accompany existing and trial members, who have signed up as Social.
Riders will return to the pub around 8.00pm ish where they have the option to have a drink, something to eat and to socialise. If you cannot make the ride please feel free to come along and join us for a drink.
The TESR represent a great opportunity to give a prospective new member the opportunity to experience an iCycle ride. Please feel free to ask a cycling friend/buddy to come along and join us.
All they need to do is sign up as a trial member and be capable of cycling 25 miles at an average speed of around 14 miles an hour.
I look forward to seeing you on a TESR in the very near future.
