iCycle : About Us

iCycle is a friendly and sociable cycling club based in Bedford and was formed in 2010 when a group of like-minded cyclists decided to set up a club for the purpose of organising recreational rides.

Members are recreational cyclists who cycle for fitness and enjoyment. Regular club rides are organised throughout the week and members also organise rides together using the Club's Ride Repository. These rides are accessible via our ‘Ride Calendar’ which is on the Events page. Rides can vary from 25–75 miles, offer a choice of speeds to ride at and normally involve a stop for refreshments.

As a club iCycle is committed to the following principles:

• Inclusion – to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their riding potential and develop friendships with like-minded individuals.
• Personal Integrity – to trust and respect each other.
• Cooperation and support – to provide mutual support for the club and its members, recognising everyone’s contributions.
• Image and Reputation – to maintain high standards of language and behaviour when representing the club and communicating with members.
• Continuous Improvement – to continually aim to improve the club for the benefit of members.

To run successfully as a club and nurture our passion for cycling iCycle members have access to:

• Planned regular club rides of differing speeds and lengths.
• Riding with likeminded riders.
• Club Communications that clearly communicate rides and give a great opportunity for sharing experiences and supporting each other.
• A Ride Repository for members to access and download rides.
• A Club toolbox (specialist tools) and Bike box.
• Access to the iCycle club kit shop.
• A program of social events.
